The meeting
was called to order by Dr. Hug-English at 8:05 a.m.
Dr.
Hug-English did a roll call, all board members were present except Dr. Titus
and she announced that Larry Mathias of the Nevada State Medical Association
was present at the board office.

Chapter 630
of the Nevada Administrative Code
Consideration
of Approval of Proposed Amendments to NAC 630.080
Mr. Legarza
confirmed that the board members received a copy of the proposed amendments to
NAC 630.080. He reported that no one appeared at either workshop and that he
received no written correspondence on the matters..
Dr.
Hug-English asked Mr. Mathias to present his testimony.
Mr. Mathias
of the Nevada State Medical Association stated that the association supports
the proposed amendments to NAC 630.080, and informed the board that the Nevada
State Medical Association sent a notice to all Medical Doctors about the
regulations and the process. Mr. Mathias stated that the association is pleased
the regulation change allows flexibility and permits a person to be licensed
with USMLE technical problems, and that absence of any testimony from licensees
must mean support for the amendment.
Dr.
Hug-English thanked Mr. Mathias and the Nevada State Medical Association for
the testimony.
Dr. Baepler
made a motion to adopt the new amendments to NAC 630.080. Dr. Stewart seconded
the motion, and it passed unanimously, with the chair voting in favor of the
motion.
